This project was a culmination of Three years of studying and integrates skill from the visual effects pipeline, Matchmoving and object tracking, environmental design and moddling, PBR texturing and lighting, multipass rendering and compositing, Along with the use of Industry standard software (Maya, Nuke, Arnold, SynthEyes)

Behind The Scenes:

Object Tracking

I used syntheyes for object and camera tracking my backplate.
Environment creation

I used Houdini Highfields to create my environment, with techniques like Simulating erosion
Texturing

To achieve a realistic looking texture i use the nodes like a, mix shaders , curvature maps and texture maps to add complexity to my shader by mixing in dirt and wear into the renders.

To give my environment a nature looking texturing I utilised Substance Painters by creating a smart material with different parameters Eg, Snow Height.
Composting

I used Nuke to composite my renderers, as well as to extend the depth of the environment with 3D cards
Roto

I used Silhouette to create an alpha mask of the subject, i then used this a mask in comp
